Timeless allure.
Countless pleasures.

Tucked away along the Russian River, lies a glamping destination like no other.

Rediscover the magic of nature with vineyards and redwoods as far as the eye can see. Let layers of rich green and vibrant blooming flowers remind you how euphoric it can feel to just breathe.

Recharge with a nature walk or a workout in the gym. Find joy with games, live music, or a splash in the pool. Exhale your stress away in the spa or a poolside cabana.

However you define paradise, you’ll find it at Surrey.

A different kind of historical treasure.

During World War 2, the US Army cleared a parcel of land to provide an emergency landing strip for planes that couldn't make it to the Santa Rosa airport. Colonial Village, an officers retreat clubhouse with cabins, was built under twin palms on those acres of land.

Memories have been made in this hidden oasis since 1953. Surrey Resort began as a swim and tennis club. With the only pool of its size in the area, Surrey quickly became the place to be.

Packed houses in the banquet-style dining room, cocktail lounge, and dance floor of the Grand Hall drew the interest of entertainers like the Rat Pack. People began traveling from all over the world to experience both the parties and the serenity.

Over the decades, visitors continued to flock to Surrey Resort, but the Russian River floods every few decades and costly restoration took time. Eventually, the owners let nature reclaim the land. But we revived Surrey for a new generation… just before it was submerged again in 2019. But from disaster comes innovation. When the flood water receded, a new idea emerged: Glamping.

Now at harmony with nature, we offer all of the magic of the past, along with a camping experience that comes with a luxurious flair.

The warm glow of inclusion.

For generations, Surrey Resort has been a secret escape for some of the most fascinating people on the planet.

What brought them here is more than just the stunning surroundings, the pool, or the Grand Hall.

It has always been the energy and the vibe.

And it continues today. This is a place where radiant people come to do inspiring things. And everyone has always been invited.

Nestled along the Russian River and surrounded by vineyards. Surrey Resort is just a three minute walk from downtown Guerneville — with restaurants and fun in every direction.

“Many years ago, Surrey was an experience like no other. The camaraderie, the peace, the fun. Everyone was there to connect with nature and each other. To find pleasure and a place in the sun. You could just be you, and everyone helped each other make it adventurous and safe. It was crazy and somehow elegant at the same time. And it was always filled with beautiful souls and magnificent moments. We want new generations to come and experience the Surrey community.”
